Loss of a brother

It is with great sadness to let you all know that we lost a Corvette brother on February 22nd after a short illness. Graeme Inglis passed away peacefully in hospital.

Graeme had been on the car scene for many years, in the letter years attending many shows and runs in his stunning C3 which he, with the help of Corvette Kingdom, restored and rebuilt to his exact specification. Many upgrades followed.

An absolute gentleman who was willing to talk cars, talk Corvette, talk racing, but also to talk about family and friends as well as work. He had just as much fun shooting the breeze at a show as well as driving on track and took part in many hill climb competitions over the years.

Graeme will be sadly missed up here in Scotland. Wherever all the good eggs go after they pass, I’m sure they will be finding it very difficult to keep up with him.

What a lovely guy. I met Graham a few times and always looked forward to seeing him again. Alas no more...........

If I recall correctly wasn't Graeme the guy who pulled out of a gas station in his (then) newly, hot engined big wheeled C3 - and giving it some 'wellie' (as one does) pulling away, went across a manhole cover.........and the nearside wheel lost traction momentarily.......when the wheel contacted the tarmac again and 'gripped' the driveshaft twisted up, pulling against and bening the A arm. I remember the image of the driveshaft looking like a bit like a reject Mangelwurzle...........

Yes that was Graeme, the twisted driveshaft was quite a sight! Major work on the car had been done by Corvette Kingdom. You can see the full story in Workshop Stories on the CK website. Look for '1970 350 Coupe Body Off and Repaint'.
