Please can anyone suggest where I can buy a compatible oil filter for my C3 (1978) also what is the most suitable oil to use? Many thanks...

Valvoline VR1 Racing mineral is one of the top choices - oil filters should be available from similar outlets

I bought one of these Wix 51069 HD Oil Filter Spin-On but AC Delco PF454 or Fram PH30 would be fine

I've used Millers Classic Pistonease 20/50 Mineral Oil for years now. Buy it from Opie Oils (there is a discount for club members) and they deliver.

I've also stayed with a larger filter - an AC PF 25 (or PF1218).

I use Valvoline VR1 too . Its a race car grade oil that should be changed at 3000 miles but that`s annual mileage for most classics . I always get correct spec filters for my 1980 C3 on ebay . The last two have come from Malibu Parts in Lechlade , Gloucestershire and delivery is prompt . Or try US Automotive in Bedford or Frost`s Wellingborough . Both stock vast amounts of American car parts.
