Pop up lamps please help.

Hi all
I am pre empting a problem i shall be facing. Whilst the headlamp units are of the vette. When i bought the car only one would work. So i expect the same on reasembly, please can anybody tell me where to start to try to cure it on reinsertion.

This should help. Chances are one of the actuators needs rebuilding if one works but hopefully someone with more experience on the vacuum system will chime in.

I renewed the seals on the actuators & used this video. Not to difficult even for me!

That lad doing the video is a bit gung ho IMHO. Propping the hood like that - ( it's not necessary to disconnect the stay to remove the actuator) is taking a massive risk. If it slipped whilst his hands were down the gap the injury he would suffer doesn't bear thinking about - those C3 hoods are heavy. I hope no one on here follows his advice😱
Also isn't there a diaphram in the centre of your old actuator that can't be replaced if you go down the re-rubber route?

Hi yes i thoght about the bonnet sliping and trapping his hands. I shall for the time it takes rs remove the bonnet.

Yes he is a bit gung ho as you say. However ,on my car, on the underside of the hood, there is a hole on each side which is the perfect size to put the end in. I used 2 poles. But everyone should make there own judgement call and do what's best for them.
