Rear bush query.

Hi all, I have some side to side slack in my output shaft bush . Can any folk tell me if this could cause a drivetrain clunk when changing gear? I cant see any movement in the diff cushion rubbers, or slack in any propshaft or driveshaft u/j’s. TiA

I know mine has some side to side movement too, but there’s no clunking that I’m aware of.
It leaks a bit of oil as a result of the movement though and has probably got wear on the seal.

Have you checked the front diff cushions

Does it clunk only when changing gear? No noise when you lift off/power on?

Its a manual and it seems to be when i lift off power changing gear or lifting off to cross a speed bump or similar.

Thanks gavin, I did when you sent me down a new set but only from the floor so didnt get a bar in there. Will have a better look. Is there a correct place to lever and where to look for movement. I sort of presumed they should have still been good from the rebuild 8years ago but I guess they could go bad again in this time ?
