Morning all
Hope everyone is well, here is my question both my t tops (glass) have quite bad what looks like scratches of some sort that are impossible to polish out so I am wondering if anyone out there would know where to get them re tinted again or how to somehow polish them out !!
Stay safe and well all

If they are original GM tinted T Tops, they are laminated and the Tint is on the (Visqueen type) component laminated between the two pieces of glass
Mild scratches can be polished out some use a light abrasive like Brasso or even Tooth Paste.

If the scratches are deep I don't think polishing of any sort will remove them - perhaps just be thankful that they haven't been dropped and cracked across the edge:eek:

Agree with Curious Bystander if they are deep .Are they tinted glass or mirror finish ? I have mirror finish which was an optional extra and the silvering on the mirror laminate has hairline cracks that look like scratches . Nothing can be done about that I guess :(

Mike - I had a few light scratches on my drivers rear view mirror. So I tried to remove them with duraglit wadding.
To my amazement it actually removed the mirroring material which I had assumed was on the BACK of the glass.
Which perhaps is the way your mirrored tops were made? In which case a specialist might be able to re-coat them 🤔
Just a thought

Hi Mike ,
Thanks for that . I think a re-coat is well down the list a moment . I am just delving into the crankcase ventilation system as by PCV is connected to carbon cannister but there seems no obvious link to an vacuum port on carb or manifold , in which case in all this time I have unwhitingly had no
crankcase ventliation ! Thats the problem of having non standard Edelbrock inlet manifold and a Holley carb .
