Had the dreaded "Service Column Lock" appear a couple of times on the display and when this happens the Column lock wont release and you cant start the car. This normally happens at the most inconvenient time that you can imagine.
Having recently purchased a Tech 2 scanner the code coming up was B2907 which translates to "Steering Column Lock Motor Circuit short to ground or open". After some google time and on-line forums I purchased a Column Lock bypass kit from Parts USA in Stockport. The job took me around 2 to 3 hours to complete but i am pleased with the results as the column lock is now out of the loop. If anyone out there has the same issue then i am happy to pass on the knowledge i have gained.
