Nice number too (y)
Yes could be a lot worse. , if I worked at dvla It would be really satisfying when issuing a number to try to find some connection the the car or the applicants name , you could make a lot of people’s day. . We all just accept what we are issued, I wonder if anyone has asked for say a cornish plate (as I’m from cornwall) a bit like getting to the airport and asking for an upgrade. . Some one should ask and see what happens 🤣

They do look nice. I personally like black/silver license plates on corvettes up to 1973. I think the chrome bumpers/bumper for 73 sets everything off. On the rubber tail/nose cars (1974 and up ) the standard reflective plates are quite nice and acceptable. I saw a 1978 vette the other day with black/silver plates on, and in my opinion it didn’t look right. The 1977 model show here I think looks right with reflective plates.

It`s worth noting that the old style plates are now not legal on cars first registered after 1st January 1980 and must be the yellow and white reflective type . But agree with Nassau that reflective plates suit late models anyway .
