Hey all

Several issues back I started a series all about crankshafts and how they are balanced in different engines. So far it has explored single cylinder engines and balance shafts.
Are people interesting in the continuation of this series? I ask because I genuinely do not know if anybody finds it interesting or not!
I am about to finish instalment #3 which covers twin cylinder engines (inline and vee).
Please let me know!
Cheers

I remember many years ago a Matchless 500 single engine rebuilt with high compression piston and scrambles cams didn't seemed to have been balanced properly, it vibrated so badly that it eventually blew the cylinder barrel and cylinder head off! - be nice to understand why that happened........

Your articles were and will be a very interesting addition in the magazine. Works like yours enable the not so mechanically minded to start to understand the inner workings of what gets us around on two and four wheels.
