It seems the original ethernet cable creator loved yellow, and drove a yellow 1968 Corvette. So he put in the ethernet cable spec that they must be the same colour as his 1968 Corvette - Safari Yellow it seems.

So whilst sat here, looking at the internet which will be using lots of ethernet cables no doubt, then you have a 1968 Corvette to thank for it

Now there's an idea - plug BT's much vaunted full fibre broadband in to early C3's fibre optic system - bring it (or perhaps BT's offering in to the current century?
