Hi all
Am about to purchase a1976 c3 and I was wondering if anyone could advise me on the best work shop manual to look for they seem few and far between at first look

First buy I suggest should be the factory Assembly Instruction Manual (AIM) for your year. These are available from several suppliers (here for example), either as a bound copy or on a CD, typical cost is around $35. If you're lucky you may find a website that will allow you to download a free one.
 
As above the Factory assembly instruction manuals are great for what goes where . They don’t have many words just hundreds of drawings showing what part goes where.
