Despite club stand applications now closed we have been accepted to stage a CCCUK club stand at this very prestigious event within the grounds of Chatsworth House which I last visited as an 8 year old on a school trip!

We need a minimum of five Corvettes and I'm still waiting to hear what our maximum allowance will be. The journey to the venue will be epic in itself taking country roads through the fabulous Peak District.

Hi Ken.

The organiser has confirmed we can have a club stand but hasn't yet confirmed the maximum number of cars we can display. So I can either keep a list of interested members that will be in the club display area or you can go online and register as an individual as I know one has already. Only drawback with that is they could send you anywhere but the club stand.

Hi Stuart, have sent you an email.

Count me in, I'm local to the area.

Word of advice for anyone who fancies driving some of the roads around there, if the weather is nice there will be thousands of cyclists blocking the roads, whilst this won't spoil the views you'll be lucky if you hit 30mph and if you're especially unlucky you'll be stuck behind a group of them crawling up a 1:10 hill at 2mph..... Goodbye clutch, seriously seen this happen loads.

My advice would be to get out early, at sunrise before the show. Winnats Pass near Castleton is a personal favourite, both going up the hill and the journey back down are both experiences you won't forget in a hurry, taking the snake is always a great run too early doors before the cyclists are out.

Personally I think the best time to drive the roads is on a weeknight in the summer when the days are long and the roads have dried out. But obviously this doesn't fit in with the schedule of the show.

Hi Stuart,
Please could you allow me to attend this event, if space is available. My car is a 2008 C6 Corvette coupe.

Hi Stuart
My name is Paul Panay and have just re-joined the club. My last Vet was a C6 Grand Sport which I sold on to a club member. I have now decided to re-join as I will be taking
delivery of a new C8 on the 20th May. I have just been on the forum and noticed that there seems not be a section for upcoming events, maybe I am being stupid (not unusual) However, I would like to join the Club at Chatsworth House, do I go onto the organisers website or book through you? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Paul.

Welcome back and congrats on the C8!

I can fit you on our club stand so will add you to the list.

Cheers,

Lets hope the weather improves!

The organisers say we don’t need to arrive in convoy as we will be directed to our display area. But as some people don’t know a Corvette to a tomato it may be worth printing the attached out and sticking on the inside of your windscreen or just have it ready to hold up.

Entry time is open between 07:30 – 09:30am so I’ll be aiming to arrive around 08:30 or sooner.
