For so long a lot of our more Northerly based CCCUK members have been unable to attend our Southern based Corvette National event due to the distance involved and accommodation needs. The club have recognised this and have this year for the first time in the club’s history sanctioned and supported an event in a Northerly location. Locations were canvassed and the Lake District seemed to be an obvious choice both for the location and the beautiful scenery and roads on offer. Once the location was agreed we needed a venue and several were looked at with Park Foot Holiday Village being a clear winner ticking all the boxes for what we required – a large display area, accommodation, food availability, bar, restaurant, and a fantastic location.

This FIRST EVER CORVETTES AT THE LAKES welcomes CCCUK members from all regions.

Penrith Mountain Rescue,
is our chosen charity for this event, and hopefully some of the team will be visiting over the weekend. Please give generously to support them as they are entirely funded by donations and all the members are unpaid volunteers who are on callout 365 days a year, whatever the weather.

Park Foot Holiday Park and the CCCUK event will be held in the Euserigg Field.
Display cars : CCCUK members FREE ! Make sure you have your membership card and or sticker ready to show Don on the Gate. Entrance fee for Non CCCUK Club members will be £10 for the weekend. (50% of this will going to our nominated charity).
Walk in visitors : Free of Charge (charity donations encouraged).
Visitors arriving by Car : Must park in Park Foot Lakeside Car Park and pay £5 per car to Park Foot Reception – instructions are displayed on entry to parking area (you can phone reception to pay)
Saturday Night Dinner For Club Members only : £18/head for two courses : menu options

Gate Opens : 8am Saturday and 9am Sunday.
Weekend Judging with Trophy Presentations taking place on Sunday
Club Merchandise & Membership Services

Hot and Cold Refreshments available within our show arena (and facilities close by !)
Licenced Bar and additional catering in Park Foot main complex.

Anyone within the CCCUK membership who has not already registered interest in attending this event with their regional rep, ( having an idea of the numbers will help) or needing more information on the dinner can message me at the email address.: sarah.eventscccuk@outlook.com.

Thanks and welcome. Yes, everyone is in the same situation so all replies are being treated as provisional and fortunately we have a bit of time before making final commitments (although the venue will carry forward or refund our club booking). Hopefully in a few more weeks we may all feel a bit clearer about the way things will go. By the way which region are you with ?

Thanks, I have let you regional rep (Willie Chrystal) know so between us we can make sure you're kept informed. That's a nice colour by the way.

Nice Corvette and welcome to our club.

The current numbers for the event are 90 cars of which over 80 are Corvettes and 164 people. Most hotels are offering a full refund if Covid restrictions at the time of the event are such that we can't hold it and this should be clarified when booking.

I have just updated information for this event and can also share the Menu options for those club members interested in Saturday night.
We do hope that you will be able to join us for dinner at Park Foot’s restaurant and bar on the Saturday evening, it will be the first real opportunity for many of us to meet up socially and what could be a better. TJ’s Restaurant is very much about good home cooking which is reflected in our chosen 2 course menu at £18 / head.
Starter choices are : Homemade Minestrone Soup or Homemade Fishcakes with Sweet Chilli & Salad or Assorted Smoked meats with Salad & Olives
For the Main Course – a traditional roast with a selection of vegetables Roast Beef/ Yorkshire Pudding or Roast Pork / crackling or Roasted Nut loaf

If you still fancy something extra (not sweet enough already?) Desserts and Tea/Coffee can be chosen from their house menu and paid for on the night.
(they can cater for special dietary requirement's).

Interested ? email me (sarah.eventscccuk@outlook.com) and I will send details of how to book directly with Park Foot.

Jonny, you would have loved it. We've already reserved the 3rd & 4th September dates for 2022 so by then C-19 should be a distant memory hopefully.
I hope it's over by then, Stuart. It's a pain to stay on the mainland here with those PCR tests.

Thanks for the dates, I'll place them in my calendar and see that I can make it. I'm looking forward to the pictures and the report.
