Can Corvette members recommend an insurance company and give me an idea of price they are paying. I just seem to get silly quotes all the time especially Adrian Flux who used to be good. £1000 with 3000m limited mileage. I have had no speeding convictions for over 20 years. No claims for at least 28 years other than a claim against someone else. So what am i doing wrong?

Have a look at this thread. About C7 insurance, but might get some "tips" in there?

Give Brentacre a call. Been with them last 2 years, good cover, easy to deal with, great quotes. Mention that you're a member of CCCUK.

Is that a UK/Euro spec (i.e. Thatcham Cat 1 compliant) car or US/Import spec? On my Euro spec 2007 C6, the renewal premium from Admiral in 2019 was £257. That's no accidents, convictions. "mature" driver only, 4k miles pa, low risk address, SDP only, garaged and with 7 years NCB on the car. Personally, I look for a Defaqto 5* rated company/policy when looking for insurance. One of the members with a C6 on a Flux policy had an accident a few years back, and was "unhappy" to find out that the policy did not cover the cost of shipping or duty on the repair parts coming in from the States.

You must be doing something wrong. I havnt even been alive for 28 years (just) and paid alot less than that with Adrian Flux.

Second car, garaged, mirrored NCB and 3000 miles per year.

Did you state club membership?

I'll give em a ring Monday, mines coming up for renewal, Brentacre leading the pack so far, they cover any modifications and you don't have to inform them of changes, would need to read the small print though.
What pees me off though is I have this same merry-go-round every year,
You get a low ball figure the first year, and when it's time to renew they bump it right up.

I think you do so that they can be noted on the policy but like us if it's non performance modifications then unlikely your premium will change :)

The nice thing I've found with Brentacre is that renewal was the same price as first year, something that's quite rare these days with almost every contract eg phones, broadband etc.

See this mainly with 'standard' insurers... specialist policies don't tend to vary as much year on year :)

My insurance was due, and when I read this I thought - sounds good but can I get something similar.
Well YES I did and they are really easy to deal with and unlike some brokers don't charge extra for the agreed value (y)
Can highly recommend Peter Taylor Insurance Services.
