2019 Corvette Nationals show - 29th and 30th June

......assuming Rich doesn't break it getting it off the boat in Southampton or steal my splitter and undertray......

For anyone who hasn't a clue what Nige is going on about, I occasionally drive cars on and off ships at the docks. I'm keeping a beady eye out for Nige's Vette.

The Saturday night Gala meal is open to all Club Members whether they are staying at the Sharnbrook or elsewhere.
This is a set menu with the main course of chicken, but a vegetarian option is available. The cost is £30 per head and includes an entertainer for the evening. This needs to be booked and paid for in advance by contacting the hotel reception on 01234 783 142
On the Friday evening the hotel owner, Ciro, has organised a live music show featuring a Frank Sinatra/Marilyn Monroe tribute act which with a two course buffet can be booked for the price of £20 per head for CCCUK members. This will also be open to the general public and should also be booked and paid for in advance.
Mid morning Saturday there will be a run out/cruise to Santa Pod that has been highlighted in detail previously which will then return to the hotel in time for the AGM at 4 pm.
Sunday is "show and shine" from 10 am to 5 pm
Hopefully someone will put these details, and more, in June's Vette News
I am confused, I thought the "tribute" act was on the Saturday night and the cost of that was why you blocked my offer to do a short presentation on the NCM and our trip to the BASH in April. So if they are on the Friday night, what is on the Saturday night?

If you read my post again Mike there is entertainment both Friday and Saturday - the hotel have arranged the Friday night and this will be open to members of the general public in line with their normal hotel activities, but club members are also welcome.
Saturday Gala night is CCCUK only with the entertainer arranged by us.
More details will be in the June magazine

Friday night entertainment is open to all (not just club members) - it is a 'Frank and Marilyn' tribute act (Frank Sinatra and Marilyn Monroe) - Saturday evening's Gala Dinner features the entertainer, and comedian Marshall King. Marshall specialises in Elvis, and Freddie Mercury tribute acts amongst others

We didn't 'block' anything for you per se Mike - it was on reflection and based on previous Saturdays evenings - timescales are very tight and easily over-run (which certainly happened last year)

Original post says nothing about entertainment, just mentioned the meal. When I was told by Ross I had been knocked back the reason was the committee felt it was not appropriate due to the cost of the Frank Sinatra tribute act that had been committed to by the club... which is why I am confused, but apparently now we get tribute acts 2 nights in a row... yippee

Is there a main page or thread/post/topic for this to get all the info? And do I need to book anything beforehand? Thanks guys, hoping to come down in my C4 :)

Just turn up - £10 entry per car - if you are a CCCUK member you'll be directed to club parking - if not you will be most likely be parked in general parking area.

Unlikely to be there or bringing the car. Cutting off my nose to spite my face - yes probably.
Following last years judging fiasco. Did anyone know what was going on? The one show I actually like to compete in - the Nationals. Spent hours detailing the car leading up, followed up by further cleans having supported Saturday drive out and then again for Sunday, only to find it wasn’t even looked at. Apparently it was all about the post-it’s.

Judging Fiasco? Not so sure about that....but a great shame if the judges missed your car. I'm wondering why? - where were you parked?

Pete,
Your Z06 I am sure looked brill and was well detailed, if it was missed last year for whatever reason - surely that is the reason to bring it this time (note it on the day with Ross and I am sure he will ensure that it is not missed again).
The Nats is the most important day in our calendar, you obviously have a nice Vette that you are proud of - let the members enjoy it too.
At the end of the day it is about both the friendship and the Vettes - The Vette is the Trophy !

Come along, Pete. We're also there and even the 35th anniversary wasn't "judged" that day. My mum sat beside the C4 and didn't see anyone. I don't mind, it just the good talks, pictures and atmosphere around the whole event.
