Hi all
1st day out in my C3 picked up something in the middle of my rear tyre- burst the tyre -No spare
Does anyone have a spare wheel I can buy????
I will then buy a new pair of tyres for the rear and use the existing good rear on the spare

Thanks in advance

Good luck with this... a flat tyre is such a nightmare. Did you get recovered? Our modern convertible bmw has no spare - but the hole was instantly ‘repaired’ with a stab of stuff that sealed it over. Good enough to drive home and on to the tyre shop the next day.

We are experts on being recovered...sometimes on low loaders! luckily we have no limit to recoveries with the RAC!

One thing to note Adrian is that, depending on the year of your C3, the spare might well be a "spacesaver"
Yes the Yanks were miles ahead of the UK with this idea even in the 1970's.
My car is a 79 and has alloy wheels with 255x60x15's - but the spare is a narrower steel wheel with a 195x70(?)x15 tyre.
And the only new tyre that could be found was one intended for a van. Not that that matters at all.
So you probably won't be able to use the "good" one as a spare unfortunately - because it will be too wide to fit in the carrier under the car.

The space saver tyre was introduced in '78. Adrian's car is a '71. A standard wheel shod with a 225/70R15 tyre should fit without problem.

Where a space saver was fitted it was originally 195/80D15.
