Rock Auto does it again

Probably like many of you I received the Rock Auto 'closeout' deals last week. I needed a wheel bearing/hub assembly for the Dodge so placed an order on Friday afternoon, total cost including shipping etc was £53. Following the tracking it was despatched quickly via Texas, Memphis, and Stanstead until it was delivered up here in the North East this morning. Amazing service and value.

My last order for suspension/steering bits was placed last month on a Tuesday afternoon - and although the 20 or so items were shipped from 3 warehouse locations in 4 consignments..........irritatingly perhaps.......the first two packages turned up with DHL on Thursday afternoon (vis London City) the remainder came Friday afternoon, again DHL via East Midlands. Brilliant!

Wow, that is amazing. I sent a small package to a client in Cambridge via RM, took over a week to reach her. Go figure.

With Royal Mail it`s nothing short of a miracle it arrived at all ! Our mail was more reliable when shipped across the country by coach & horses and Dick Turpin was at large .

I order bits from abroad semi regularly. America is generally the best and always has been, I’ve ordered stuff on Friday night and Monday it’s sat there waiting at the depot for customs payment.
Germany any Poland, generally not too bad, takes about a week. Customs stuff is very hit and miss. France, it can take an age, had one item turn up after months. Spain, honestly it would be faster to cycle there and back. The same could be said of Japan, buying there is also a run around.

Well, my faith in RM has been restored. I posted a parcel on Saturday morning, tracked 24. It was delivered this morning. Now that’s what I call a first class service. They certainly redeemed themselves in my eyes from my last delivery.
