Gap between front under spoilers and car floor.

Hello,

When I was looking at my car a few days ago, I noticed there was a gap between the side spoilers under the nose of the car on the left and right hand side, and the underbody of the car itself.
This is the same on both sides of the car. I'm not aware of knocking the spoiler, but I had a look to see if a clip or something had come lose, but it seems like there are just 3 fixings / bolts(?) hoding each one in place - but nothing seems missing or otherwise wrong. I tried to press the spoiler into place so there would be no gap, but this didnt work - and there didnt seem to be any way to clip or fix it back into place.

I've attached some photos.

Has this happened to anyone else and is there a way to fix these back close to the car (I was thinking of using a glue gun?)

Hey Phil,
You did not run over any ex-wife or mother in-laws by chance ?
Tell them to fix the fricking roads !

If you glue it well, you might be up the creek without a paddle if later needing to take them off

That is made of rubber, you need to get under and see if where the mounting holes are if the hardware used did not
get pulled through the holes
If so you might want to repair with some flat washers, or could use some pop rivets with flat washers

Also check that center dam as it is spring-loaded and if hit enough so it does not return to correct angle than airflow would be directed away from cooling the radiator and the air cleaner is a bottom feeder and that dam needs to direct colder outair to it

Make sure you move that center dam and then let go and see if the springs bring it back to correct angle
Also look and clean out any crap that got blown in that limits airflow to the radiator and A/C condenser

You could use my lift but it's a long way away from Norwich !

On a very similar note, I fitted a new air dam to a 1971 C3 and to make it fit better I soaked it in a very hot bath for an hour to make it more pliable. If you do follow Teams advice to add fixings it may be worth a soaking as well.

It was made as a sacrificial part, so if you hit anything too hard etc it will pull off.
I would not recommend attaching it firmly, would only take bodywork with it next time.
It looks the same as mine used to look, I wouldn't worry about them.

If corners drooping sound like fixable with flat washers bigger than the original holes being larger now
