Automatic gearbox repairers recommendations wanted.

I have a c5 auto 1999 the gearbox is faulty.i had a gear box specialist look at it .he stated the oil was low and burnt smelling.the gears are not changing right and not full power on acceleration.any suggestions for a garage that can repair it. I’m based in north east of uk but would trailer it to anywhere that can fix it. Thanks in advance for any advice given.

North east i would look no further than paul Grainger at lagonda garage Billingham
He rebuilt my 4l60e in my camaro that was used as a street strip car with modifications running 11s
It held together for many many passes and road miles and still going strong with the new owner these 4l60e gearboxes are notoriously weak only just managing to hold up to stock power
