This is a mate of mine 🙂 and his collection generally has the best of the best. He mentioned selling this so I asked him to offer it to members first (he was a member but lapsed for now but he does have other Corvettes) so here it is...

Looks fantastic.
Liked the earlier ones as well in silver with the cove option. Silver/white with a red interior. Beautiful combination.
Had a 62 in Marlboro maroon poly with a black interior. No power steering or brakes make the standard solid axels a bit antiquated today.
Lovely to look at but horrible to drive.

The only time I drove a C1 was at the Lakes when setting up a C1 C8 line. Drove it 50 yrds and that was too much. Not for me in stock form but resto maybe

Yes, so true. A friend loved the typical red/white cove corvette, I lent him my 60. He hated it, couldn’t believe how horrible it was to drive. He was a Mercedes SL man, well still is. Likes old cars, but doesn’t like driving them much

With power steering it would be a great improvement. Always found the brakes on them OK.
Let’s be fair, today, they are only cruisers to the majority of owners. No traffic light drags for them nowadays. They probably did that in their youth with previous owners.
