HELP - LOCKED OUT

Guys I need help to access my car. The bunch of keys (including the override key), is in the parcel shelf. It seems the battery has gone flat on the fob so I'm locked out. The spares are somewhere so safe that, despite turning the house upside down, I cant find them. Any advice on how to open the door/boot without them?

So the car recognised the fob (fob battery working) last time you got into it the car/let you open the door? How long ago was that? But fob battery has gone flat since then and car has locked the doors/hatch because of that? Are you sure its not the car battery that has gone flat/locked the doors? Either way, don't think you can open the car without a functioning fob? Emergency key in fob would open rear hatch if it was a flat car battery. So need to have another look for fob in house?

You need to expand on this as not clear what happened ?
Are you saying you locked the key FOB in the car and cannot find the spare FOB and key ?

If FOB is in car, maybe its battery is enough so that if you shake the car hard enough might
be enough to trigger FOB to unlock doors ?

Think he is saying he "left "the fob in the car, closed the door and went off. And car has locked the door thinking there is no fob present as fob battery has run down?

If the options were set for auto open and close than as soon as the door closed, the system would lock the doors
If the options are set for the FOB so that just walking with the FOB it sends signal and auto opens the door

Maybe luck out and if FOB battery is weak but being close to the receiver in car that shaking car hard enough
may be enough for FOB to wake up and command doors open

This does work as I have tried it in the past

That's correct. The car was being detailed at my home and the guy closed the doors/boot because it started raining. Stupidly I forgot the battery in the fob was getting low. Unfortunately the spare keys aren't where we thought.

Watch how this guy with his C6 with FOB locked in and car battery drained
used right rear tail light wiring to apply 12 volts to cause doors unlocking
Might be worth the try

Or take a metal coat hanger to push past the rubber seal at the top of the window and hook the manual door release handle to pull it upward

That's on a car with a drained battery and working fob inside. Attaching the battery to the rear light woke up the car that then recognised the working fob was there and let him open the door?

We have spent hours today searching. I think I need someone who can 'pick' the rear boot lock.
Hopefully Stuart/Graham above can come up with another solution. Theives use kit to pick up the signal from your fob in the house to transmit to your car outside and nick it. If you could get someone around with that "kit" they may be able to locate the other fob in the house? Long shot?

Maybe the purchase of one of the following, ( others available) would make finding and securing your keys and other keys easy to find.
I've got the Halfords Farraday pouches for my daily driver fobs. To locate keys, you can get those Bluetooth Tracker things to attach to them (e.g "Tile") so you can find them using your phone. Have read about them but not bought any (yet):

The wife and stepdaughter put them in their cases when they went on holiday this year, could see when they were going to come out on the carousel etc, very good thing.
Even tells you when it needs a battery.

If you're locked out of the car with the keys inside I have seen a YouTube video where they got numerous strips of duct tape, stuck two vertically to the side window with the bottom edges loose and six or seven horizontally across the vertical ones and pulled down hard to open the window enough to put a hand through and open the door.
Never tried it myself but it worked a treat for them
