I'ld like to introduce Kieran (aka CaptainK) as an additional moderator on these CCCUK forum pages. Captain K joins myself, Rich Rogers and some of our committee members as a moderator.
TBH most of you lot are really quite well behaved and we very rarely seem to have any 'on-line' major squabbles to contend with (being as our members are such a civilised bunch and guys 'n' gals :ROFLMAO: )
However we do recently seem to be getting an increased number of 'scammers' on these pages at times despite the efforts of Ben and his team at
Storm 12 filtering any 'iffy' posts.
I'm sure Kieran will also help in 'spanking' these spamming misreants ass's in future!

Thanks Ross for letting me join the team. :)

Its those spammers, I kept seeing so many of them that I figured I ought to help out instead of being a nuisance with all the Spam Reports - effectively becoming a spammer myself with all the reports :ROFLMAO:
Gone to the "dark side" then? ;) Yes, there certainly have been a lot more spam messages in the last year or so from these "new/newish" spam users ? I'm just wondering what's happening? Just looking at the details you have to fill in to create an account, looks like you need to be a "human" to do that (human intervention required)? But I'm wondering if the spam "posts" by these users, generally replying to a previous post in a thread are automatically generated responses?

Surprising too that these spammers are likely to use several IP addresses - a USA IP address is seemingly a frequent one - as is (perhaps surprisingly) a Ukraine IP!

I solved this type of crap back in late 1990s for my forum

People who register must supply required to the information form
like year/model and engine of their Corvette and several other questions like what type of racing they do, etc
If whoever is trying to register does not supply valid answers, the registration process automatically fails and boots them off

If they do supply the correct information, the process emails me a new user wants to register
I check and verify their email address and TCP/IP address manually

That person is not fully allowed access until I found their info is correct and if so as the Admin
I either reject them or allow access so they cannot post anything until so
Only if approved by me, the forum software emails that person as to the email address they used
and only they reply to that email than completes the enroll process, and they can then post content

I also can set a TCP/IP & email address blacklist filters where I keep adding addresses to and from them as the forum software rejects even reading the forum
There are websites where you enter any TCP/IP address, and it tells you what country it comes from and if it is a known hacker, spammer, etc
This has worked as not once has anyone to spam or hack my domain

I wish I had a dollar for every day since 1996 I have had to monitor and prevent Aholes from getting into any of my internet domain functions

Ah Ha,

Mr Cricket was caught driving like us American Corvette drivers ! :)
Some Vette drivers just cannot help themselves, as this C8 Corvette driver isn’t one of them.

Caught !

Just weeks after Officer Marchetti of Pembroke Pines PD cited him for speeding, our protagonist decided to double down, literally.
This time, the radar gun screamed 99 mph in a 45 zone along Pines Boulevard, transforming his Stingray into evidence on a flatbed.

Caught driving 54 mph over the limit equals
One impounded Corvette plus one all-expenses-paid trip to BSO Main Jail.
