C8 Dashcam

Hi all.

I'm looking for a dashcam for my C8 prepping ready for my european tour May June.

I know there a million cams out there but I just wondered if anyone had good experiences of a particular dash cam?

I have though about having a rear cam unit as well, my 1Lt has a rear camera but no front so I was thinking I could maybe have it wired to the front to help with the odd tricky parking.
I usually like to reverse in but JIC it would be handy.

It would of course have to be wired it up so that it turns on not via the reverse light system but either is selectable off the screen as a now front / rear view mirror , or I could have a little button secreted on the Dashcam to turn on the power as if it was receiving a signal from the reverse lighting system.

In my opinion, one of the best dash cams on the market is Nextbase, the functions vary, so you would have to research the best model for you. My dashcam in my C7 is wired from the fuse board next to my battery in the boot, I have use fused output that is controlled by the ignition. Hope this helps.

Would I be right in thinking you have a US spec (1 LT) car? Might be worth joining/enquiring on here where the UK spec C8 owners chat?
