Washer Wiper tubes and jets

I wish to re-new the tubes and jets on my 82 Collector Edition. If you have replaced the same, where have you purchased yours?

I have been advised that to also replace the washer motor, I would first have to remove the washer bottle and to do this the brake servo would need to be removed. Is this correct?

Wiper Motor: Service and Repair​

CORVETTE 1982
1. Make sure wiper motor is in ``Park'' position.
2. Disconnect washer hoses and electrical connectors from assembly.
3. Remove the air intake screen.
4. Remove the nut which retains the crank arm to the motor.
5. Remove the ignition shield and distributor cap to gain access to the motor retaining screws or nuts. Remove left bank spark plug wires from the cap and mark both cap and wires for aid in reinstallation.
6. Remove three motor retaining screws or nuts and remove motor.
Wiper motor must be in the ``Park'' position prior to installation on the cowl. Do not install a motor that was dropped or hung by the drive link.

Assuming that the 1982 model is the same as the 1980 , replacing the washer motor is do able with the bottle in situ but you need the patience of a saint and someone to help you . You will also need an off set `crows foot ` socket attachment of the correct size to fit the plastic / nylon locking nut inside the bottle . This is off set from the hole in the top of the bottle so you also need two long socket extensions with a knuckle joint between them to get the angle onto the nut . You have to remove the swan neck filler pipe from the bottle first but that is easily done .
With the front of car jacked up , reach underneath the wheel arch ( fender ) to access underside of washer pump . Hold this firmly whilst your assistant undoes the locking nut inside the tank from above . Fitting new pump is reversal of this procedure . Use Blue tack or similar to hold new lock nut in the jaws of the crows foot socket so as not to drop it inside the bottle when offering up new pump from below .
I have replaced mine that way and although a faff it`s a lot less work than stripping out the brake servo or any other gubbins that might be in the way .
