That's an interesting theory? With the low £ against the Euro over the last years, wouldn't have been surprised if the Europeans had "nicked" some UK cars. Are these C2's, currently for sale in Germany, any more expensive than equivalent UK cars?

On the face of it they look well priced ie lower than UK (asking price) but I am not an expert, the vid of the blue coupe where you could see underneath looked good.

Even without a favourable exchange rate, Corvettes (in fact most "interesting cars") are cheaper in the UK than here in Europe. I recently helped a neighbour to buy a Renault Clio Cup from the UK, which was almost half the price it would have been here! But, Corvettes in Germany do seem to be a tad cheaper than those here in France. Mobile.de is my chosen market place (not that I've found anything I could honestly afford or justify!) Here in France it is also hard (and expensive!) as a private individual to register a later US spec car, so EU (UK) cars are sought after. Once over 30 years old, they are classed as "Collection" cars, which makes life a lot easier.

Funchi, I thought the Ace Cafe shots had to be after 2004, as I know we were not at that meeting. The few poor photos I have imply that our trip there was in 2002 or 2003.

In you Blake Hall photos I saw PNF 312 R. It used to belong to Richard Harris (long time Kent member), and he sold it to his friend Colin, also a Kent stalwart, who owned it for some years before moving away to the south west.

You missed out on my 2007/21k miles Euro mainland C6 last year that I sold to club member Carl. That had the Euro mainland (drive on right) CoC, although I changed the lights to UK ones when I got it. Carl had it for sale on Pistonheads a month or so ago, as he fancied a C7. Had a French guy interested in it, but he might still have it?

Hi kentvette (y) I was not happy when I first opened the album and found my Ace Café photos indexed 2004 it just did not seem correct to me, but now I have them moved and indexed correctly so job done.

Good to see you recognise PNF 312R most of these Corvettes should be South East Corvettes, let’s hope more see there Corvettes.

Hi jukebox I have just found your code 31 Bright Blue 1982 Corvette do you think DGH 951S is the same colour.

The problem I have it has no 1982 Crossfire side emblem the only year for that colour, I think it must be Dark Blue hard to tell in a small photo.

I doubt it could be code 24 Bright Blue Metallic 1981 only one such car left the factory.

I would be interested to know where I took all these photos and year if possible, Chevrolet thinks it is the CCCUK Nationals Knebworth so that must be a good start.

More photos to come from this CCCUK Nationals soon.

Is the Callaway the one up for sale for years at a highly elevated price - supposed to be a limited edition (sic. Of what is already a limited edition vehicle) - seem to recall it was just a bodykit (no turbo's)

Don't remember that one? The black (Brian Neighbour) one above has, as you can see, the "Sledgehammer" style front nose cone. Think I am correct in saying that 1) You couldn't just buy a Callaway bodykit/had to be the "works" (engine/body) and all cars were converted/produced at the Callaway factory 2) You could order your new Callaway in the US, as an official "option" at your Corvette dealer.

I'm sure you are correct - I'm probably relating to the later normally aspirated cars - titled Supernatural and not just Vettes but other GM vehicles. They have/had a German depot - wonder if they produced any converted vehicles from there.
As an aside - several Callaway Vettes over here were sold over to Europe during the last financial 'slump'. Thinking about Callaways I was contacted a year or so ago by a guy based in Saffron Walden who had recently bought an earlier C4 TT from a local auction in Saffron Walden amazingly - I'll have to see how he is getting on with it....

1997 Florida Niagara Falls Key West.

I had two weeks holiday left so had to use it or lose it, I treated my mother to a 3738 mile or 267 mile per day average road trip.

I only went back one year later to the Klassix Daytona Florida Museum because I was in Florida.

The museum closed in 2003 I wonder if by then they were in trouble, I noticed a difference in the museum in just one year, there were more non Corvette exhibits, now knowing it has closed they may have been trying to broaden their appeal.

I hope not to repeat 1996 photos.
