£ at historic low

The pound is at a historic low against the greenback. Will this all but stop the importation of classic US vehicles into the UK?
Prices of “American classics” have risen dramatically in the US over the past few years, and along with the UK pounds drop against the Dollar makes them now very expensive.
We were due to bring over a couple of C3 convertibles ( 74 & 75) but have now put that on hold. Rising costs and the economic climate are the reasons.

Theoretically should make cars already here more valuable and perhaps desireable (given that no new imports will be comming over)........or conversely the market for American classics will flat flat on it face......?

Chevrolet dealers are certainly ca$hing in on the new corvettes popularity. GM as a company should put a stop to it if they can.
The pounds recent fall against the Dollar will probably push prices higher here in the UK, as they are purchased from GM in USD initially.
