For sale: £1300
Set of Cray Scorpions, fully refurbished. Staggered sizes are Front 18x9 ET 50, Rear 19x10.5 ET 65.
Aimed at Corvette C6, but I previously had them fitted to my 2002 F-body Camaro, so should suit anything in between with typical Chevy hubs.
Details: I got these used to go with an LS1 Camaro I bought a couple of years back. They were originally chromed which as you can imagine had not enjoyed our salty winters. For the refurb I had the chrome fully stripped at even greater expense than I had expected. Apparently it involves sitting them in a large bath of nitric acid for a week or two to dissolve the chrome, nickel and copper layers without damaging the aluminium underneath. After this the wheels went in for a normal refurb and coating. The finish chosen was sparkle silver, the lightest reliable shade available. This looks lovely in direct sunlight and is alot easier and cheaper to maintain and repair than chrome.
I'm only selling due to needing to raise funds to pay for a stroker kit for my LS2 Corvette. I will have to make do with the scuffed oem wheels that are on it. Big Inch is more important than Big Bling for now!
Cost includes personal delivery (since I don't trust couriers!) anywhere within a 3.5 hour radius of Filton, Bristol. This is basically anywhere south of York, and east of Cambridge or Maidstone. Any further afield by negotiation.
