1981 rear lights conversion to UK spec

Hi I’ve just bought an 81 and need to change the rear lights for orange indicators.
I don’t understand how the rear tail lights and brake lights and indicator are all housed in one light unit and only have two wires running to one twin pole bulb ! (Ground wire also )
how would I wire in a separate indicator and a stop and tail light bulb with only two wires ? As the indicator and brake light is apparently run from one wire !!!!!!!!!
Surely I’d need one wire for each, tail, brake, indicator, very confused.. can someone help please …..

Tim, welcome to Corvette ownership!
I suggest your first task is to get hold of a workshop manual, to understand the "idiosyncratic" Corvette electrics, but, not before you join CCCUK! The latter will give you access to some useful documents that explain what you'll need to do!
