Hi Micah,
Yes the car is still available.

I’m currently in hospital just having had major surgery so apologies for the slow response.

The suggestion to join the club is a really good one. There is a whole treasure trove of information about Corvettes collated by people who own, know and love them. Questions you pose on the forum will get answered really quickly and you can get to meet loads of like minded Corvette enthusiasts. For £40(? - maybe wrong there) its money well spent.it also gives you access to private mail where we can exchange private information about any meeting up or negotiations we have.

A pair of door cylinders and keys are about £50-60 to buy although fitting is a little fiddly - I think they would be about an hour to fit for a professional who has done it before.
Unfortunately I’m not going to be in a position to do a job like that myself for quite a while.

I’ll be back home in a few days and perhaps then we can arrange a date for you to come and see the car.

Hope you recover quickly mate. I don't think i'm gonna spend 40 quid on the club sorry but thanks for the suggestion. Do you have the parts at hand for the door cylinders and keys and can we make a deal with them if so. Regarding the car, is there any other work that needs doing on it? Sorry for the slow replies.

The small list of issues with the car is already documented in the original notice at top of the post. I don't have the door barrels and keys but they are easily obtainable. I have already fitted some parts at your request and other work has been done too which is documented here, so you can take those off the list.

With any car you buy there is going to some element of work that you are going to have to do yourself or pay to get some else to do it for you, particularly a classic car like this or actually anything over about 10 years old, come to think of it. In my view, investing a relatively small amount of money in the marque's club is probably about the best investment you can make in the car - it's invaluable in the long run.

With respect I think we need to bring this to an end. We haven't made any real progress in the month since your first post - other circumstances have allowed me to let this go on longer than I would expect. I will be posting this car on public sites shortly - if you are still interested this might be a better way to seal a transaction.

I wish you well with your car search.
