Hi All, I have a slight problem with my transmission cooler lines at the front on the flexible section before entering the radiator. The lower line is weeping from the upper crimped connector.
Details of part replacement seem a bit sketchy as to correct replacement but I will keep researching, in the mean time I was considering putting a strong clip around the crimped section to see if that would seal it what do you guys think? any ideas what pressure these lines run at? anyone know the correct part number for these lines? I think they come as a connected pair with connection at the rear of engine sump
As always your thoughts and ideas very much appreciated.
Thanks
Mike

I located From GM service manual the cooling section for both manual and auto tranny since you
did not state which one you have
I attached the GM section as a PDF below you need to read through as it includes all cooling for engine and tranny
Save it for future use as this is a GM one and not some crappy 3rd party one

As for torquing those lines :

Fastener Tightening Specifications Application Specification
............................................................................... Metric English
Automatic Transmission Oil Cooler Line Fitting 25 N.m - 18 lb ft
Transmission Oil Cooler Quick Connect Fittings 18 N.m - 13 lb ft

Thanks for the comprehensive attachments I will view them in more detail later but initial view does not seem to cover my problem. The document shows torque figures for all the connections, but I need to understand the crimped joint between of the flexible hose and solid tubing, also I couldn't see any diagrams of the pipework to get a reference number for the front section I may need. I will have a more detailed look tomorrow as there is a lot to get through.b
My vehicle is 2008 LS3 auto transmission .
Thanks again
Mike
