55 today!

Just received my annual Happy Birthday greeting from the C3 Registry - my car (as near as one can tell) has reached 55 today.

It didn't exactly get a roadtrip today (one mile to get some petrol - for another car) but the message prompted memories of good times last year.

Thank you C. I bought the car over here in 2019 from a guy who'd imported it just a year earlier. I think he thought he'd bought something rather better than what actually turned up (sound familiar anyone?). It was rather tired, but although 'Bubba' had been at one or two things, it was largely original. I've spent considerable hours over the last 6 years fiddling with (err sorry, I mean restoring ) it and it's now in fair condition. Photo's flatter it but it's now pretty reliable and rather more presentable than when I acquired it. In the 6 years of ownership it's done about 6000 miles so doesn't really have a hard life. Come a sunny day with the top down though - it's a blast!
