,87 heater control wire where to

on my '87 C4 the COLD>>>>>>>>>HOT slider is stuck on cold. rest of the system works but where does the other end of the cable go to?
Im assuming the inner cable is seized, rusty or frayed so it wont move, but could also be the other end .
so where does it come out to, so that I can look there, thanks

I believe it goes to a blend door under the dashboard.
Unfortunately centre plastic panel has got to come off to see the cable.

I can see the cable going off to the right , when I have the radio out but thats all, its just solid, wont move.

If you look under the passenger footwell, remove the plastic panel with the light in and there is a blend door right up in the top right hand corner.
It's a pig to get too.
