Just wanted to say MANY THANKS to Stuart, Dave, Alf and everyone else for all there help and support over the Nationals Weekend.
The electric roof on my C7 Grandsport decided it didnβt want to play anymore and was in a locked open position which effected windows, boot closure etc.
Dave ( sorry Dave donβt know your second name, has a stunning C3 convertible though
) Suggested a company called Hood Tech in Chester which from my home address was a good 3hrs 45min drive.
As there was nobody else in the North I could find I visited Hood Tech last Friday, A 6am start but well worth it.
The guys there had there magic box plugged in and diagnosed the problem within 30 mins. It was a pinched wire in the electrical harness of the roof system, they repaired the wiring and re set all sensors and was all sorted within a couple of hours. Not cheap though at Β£490!!. Apparently Audi A5 convertibles are renowned for this same problem.
So MANY THANKS Once again to everyone, the weather that weekend didnβt play ball but myself and Jean had a FAB time meeting everyone, definitely be back next year with better weather.
Kind Regards
Greg.
