Hi all, my 2006 AC hasn't worked from purchase in July. I have tried regassing it and also replaced the sensor, but to no avail. Does anyone have any experience or pointers?

TIA,
Tom

Need a lot more detail

What is not working, the compressor, the HVAC controller, the fan ?
Check fuses for compressor and HVAC unit ?
On the HVAC screen, does it show the correct outside temperature ?
When pushing the Auto or A/C buttons, does it show on the screen as commanding A/C on ?

Check for any error codes (DTCs) with a scanner or code reader ?

Thanks for your response.

When switched on the AC blows only warm air, or hot air if turned up. The outside temp is correct. The fuses are intact.
I have checked and there are no error codes.
The Compressor kicked into life after regassing, but the pipes don't get cold.
Replacement of sensor appeared to trigger the condenser fan, but pipes still don't get cold.
After some research, I'm suspecting the filter inside the AC pipework may be blocked, but I don't have the tools, spare parts or experience to check this.

How did you determine the Freon was low, did you use an A/C manifold test gauges connected to the low and high Freon lines ?

How did you charge it and know it did not get overfilled, as if so would also cause incorrect Freon temps ?
Have you measured what the air temps are at the outlets ?

When turning A/C on and turning the temp control knobs, does it show on the HVAC screen that the temp setting is changing ?

I have attached below the GM C6 service manual for HVAC as 2 PDFs will help you debug the problems but make sure using A/C tester that the high and low pressures are correct

Got a mobile specialist on the case... Apparently the system was empty. It passed the vacuum test and was successfully refilled and now works fine. This wasn't the first time the specialist had come across an empty system in an American import.
