Antenna issue

Anyone help pls, antenna doesn’t extend when radio turned on'!!!!!!!!!! Would like to hear the radio. It’s a 1977. If that makes a difference.

Is it an electric antenna? Do you have the original radio? Have you checked that power os getting to the antenna motor, or is at least in the wire.
If you have a replacement radio, is the antenna power wire hooked up to it? If so, can you hear the antenna motor running? Check the earth is good for the antenna motor. And, is the antenna "drive" cable broken?
That's few things to be going on with! :D:D They may be of help...

Power antenna was not an option until 1978 on Corvette so yours was obviously an aftermarket update if indeed it is actually powered and not a manual one. You need to check that you have 12v
at the antenna and that there is a good earth. If there is nothing at the antenna then the wiring should be obvious as it will look like an addition, you need to check that back to the radio, presumably another aftermarket part and check that this wire is connected at that end. Hopefully you will find that the antenna is faulty. Replacements are generally available at a cost.....
