Interesting, thank you for the reply.Shift light. I have one on mine (but clamped to the top of steering column)
How long have you been driving that you need a shift light, the scream of the engine should tell you when to shift and if the pistons come thro the top you know your too lateShift light. I have one on mine (but clamped to the top of steering column)
I seem to remember on the early C4’s with the manual transmission there was a light on the dash to tell you when to upshift.
Please excuse my ignorance, but I saw this on a C3 and wondered what it is for?
Any ideas?View attachment 15709
In an 'old school' high horsepower car without all the modern arty farty traction and yaw controls, accelerating hard in first or second gear - and close to maxium revs and our national speed limit (even maybe approaching 'loose yer license' territory in 2nd and 3rd gear) - 'fighting' for equal traction from each rear wheel with the car having a mind to take you off the road and into the nearest ditch.............with all this happening in the space of just 5 or 6 seconds there are two things you really don't have time to look at the rev counter or the speedo. There is no 'luxury' of a 5000rpm lifter float - so both shift light and rev limiter are perhaps essential kit.View attachment 15738
