AWARD WINNING 1973 CHEVROLET CORVETTE STINGRAY
SMALL BLOCK / 350 L48 / 190HP / 5700cc / V8
TURBO HYDRA-MATIC TRANSMISSION (AUTO 3-SPEED MANUAL)

*Unexpectedly available again following a collapsed sale.*
This award winning one year design C3 Corvette Stingray is a rare find!

Displayed here as it left the factory in 1973 with its original numbers matching engine and chassis, it also features the one year only striking finish of Corvette Yellow Metallic.

Comes with history back as far as 1996 including American receipts of work and service bills, it was exported to the UK in 2017 and fully restored by EMC Performance.

Their list of the restoration work is extensive and included the following:
* 1973 Corvette Yellow Metallic full respray
* Front & Rear Suspension rebuilt
* Power Steering rebuilt
* New Dual Exhaust System with correct Exhaust Tips
* New Seats, Foams, Backs, Covers & Seat Belts
* New Carpets
* New Dash Pad
* New Door Panels & Weather Seals
* New Rear Quarter Panels
* New Radio and Speakers
* New Parking Brake Console
* New Sill Plates
* New Outer Door Mirrors (both sides)
* New Brakes
* New Chrome Fenders & Emblems... The list goes on!
* Tyres have only around 1500 miles on them
* No mechanical issues, just a couple of minor paint nicks and supplied with a new brand new battery - starts on the key!
* Like most C3s, the mileage is 117929 although the reading is only able to show 17929

Winner of Best in Class at the UK Corvette Nationals in its only appearance and a head turner wherever it goes!

I took it to the Le Mans Classic and the D-Day Landing beaches in France without any issues, it could even be a daily driver if wanted.

Relocation overseas is my only reason for a very a reluctant sale and reduced for a March sale.
£25,500.00

Thank you.

The 1973 corvette is a lovely looking car. The more modern “plastic” front end combined with old chrome bumpers at the rear.
Produced for one year only, its place in the corvette history is guaranteed.
Beautiful color too.

Thank you, my favourite year (naturally!) but not along of course, Larry Shinoda based it on the Mako Shark.
I truly hate to let it go as it is such a fabulous example with no issues, so I already plan to pick another one up once the relocation is completed.

I assume you’re relocating to the US, why not just ship it back home?
Correct.
The house only has a double garage at the moment and I have the Grand Sport and Mrs C's daily in there.
I do plan to get a C3 there though and will have a extension built for cars and as a music studio, but I need to get there first so clearing house here.

I used to do that for a job in a Corvette!
Now I did think for 1/2 a second looking at the photos above, that there must be a US car club for yellow C6s with black bonnet stripes. But I recon those are Hertz rentals? I should know that saying as I worked for them for 5 years 100 years ago. ;)

You are indeed correct. The old Hertz rentals and much fun was always had. 😉

It is indeed.
I've only just got back and been able to list it, so now fielding enquiries, answering questions / arranging viewings.
Lovely car! Thought I'd mention it on here as I was just alerted of your advert by Car & Classic. Be nice if a Club member bought it? Regards/Peter
