Sorry to be so late to this. I used a Flaming River rack and pinion set-up with an electric power steering module (i can dig out the details when I get home from hols) which fits under the dash and is also adjustable, Having driven C1s with steering boxes, I can testify to a much more precise steering experience. For brakes I used basically a C4 set-up with 13inch discs on the front and 12inch on the rear plus an electric servo because my modded engine has very low vacuum. This also gives you a 5 link rear suspension if you want it. Much sharper than discs and good in the wet. Happy to provide more details or chat. Matt at CCMvettes is good to talk to and advertises in the back of the maganzine. He was the mechanical lead at Claremont Corvette before it closed down. Of course it won't be original but that wasn't my objective.
