Side by side image actually manages to make the Vette look huge........normally parked alongside anything else the C3 looks small........(except perhaps for its overall length?)

I had a great conversation with the owner about headlights. As you know Corvette C3 operate on the vacuum system, the Opel has a big lever that he pulls back that flips the lights over. 😂. Lovely man and it looks like it's a fun ride - no power steering, no brakes 😆. Give me my Vette any day.

I recall reading in a car magazine that the headlights were operated by a lever . Probably more reliable than vacuum system !

I remember seeing the "headlight lever" in one of those car restoration programs on TV. Seemed fun.

I used to have an Opel GT - I really wanted a Corvette, but couldn't afford one so the Opel was the next best thing! The headlights were indeed operated by a lever, it also had a "cam in head" engine and made a quite nice distinctive sound! All in all it was a really nice car.
