Just a short post/tip regarding the door cards on a C4. I needed to remove the passenger side door card to get to the door lock on the passenger door which is a bit stiff.
I found a few You-Tube clips that showed how to remove the card but every one of them (as did Google AI that I tried) missed out the 7mm bolt behind the electric window switch. See pic - you can just see it in the recess. Otherwise this is quite a straightforward job - although knowing that you are dealing with 30+ year old plastics is a bit nerve racking.
The Google AI approach to removing the door lock seemed to be all over the place. As well as counting the number of screws to remove the door card incorrectly it suggested that the cylinder lock could be removed without removing the handle - but I couldn't see a way to do it, it looks like you need to remove the complete handle from the door. Has anybody had to do the same and if so what approach did you use? It would be really good to know - thanks in advance.
