C5 Radiator 'sealing'?

Hi,
had a look from under the front of the car and noted that there seems to be no 'seal' between the sides and top of the radiator and the plastic ducting ( see pics).
Is this by design or is something missing? I remember the importance of good sealing of the C3 rad to stop airflow from bypassing the radiator core. If missing I can probably fashion something from high-density foam or are there part numbers?
Also the chin spoiler, it seems loose.......should there be 'springs' or similar to return it to the correct angle after grounding on low road surfaces?

The front splitter is there to :

1. reduce airflow under the front of car to reduce lift
2. C5 is designed as a bottom breather and the splitter angle diverts air upward to flow through radiator and supply air to flow through airfilter
3. Also correct angle of splitter helps a bit as less drag so better fuel mileage

Splitter is hinged with spring return so when hitting curbs or speed bumps would then return to correct angle
