Clarke garage workshop

3280.jpgas we are expecting bad weather and the C4 is parked on the drive, i ordered a Clarke CIG81015 garage as we are hoping to move and can take with us. The tent is 4.5m x 3m x 2.4 high and takes the car and will allow bonnet to openss long as not jacked too high with bonnet up. Just thought it may be of interest to others. A dry workspace and with two £7.50 led lights ok to work on.

Does the frame anchor to the driveway to prevent high winds blowing it over and
in heavy rain with wind, a way to seal that roll up for front opening to prevent water coming in ?

the front does have a roll down flap that is zipped on both sides, with zip pull inside and out, useful if you want to hide from the wife...also, there are a couple of holes on the flaps you could tie the zips to.
it comes with a couple of ground anchors you can screw into the ground but Ive drilled a handful of holes in the drive and fitted rawlplugs with long screws as we want to take with us then can fill holes with sealer. 4 fixed points on each side. After a couple of wet days, its dry under as long flaps touch the floor on the outside so helps divert the rain.
We did try the double bottle bags that are sold for gazebos but would need more.
I will add, it allows the car to be parked inside with windows open and no condensation , wet inside windows and the steering wheel no longer sticky.

Hmmm interesting - I need to do a front-end overhaul (so p/s and all suspension/steering), ideally out in the open as my garage is too narrow to work on both sides of front end at once......perhaps a worthwhile expenditure?

from Machinemart, just shy of £350 inc next day delivery, there was a year old one on ebay for £250 but had a tear in side. so, chance to re sell after or even use for club events.
Still cheaper than a permanent one.
