Double Din Stereo

Hi everyone,

I've just purchased a C6 and was looking to upgrade the stock stereo to one with Apple Carplay. I've looked online and it looks like I need the fascia which I've ordered however it mentions a PAC RP5-GM11 which is a harness.

Do I need this?

Looking for some general advice on what I'd need to upgrade, it's the Bose model with Onstar.

Yes you will need an interface lead and ariel adapter cruchfield in USA also do there own interface leads eurovettes might be able to source from them as they don't supply direct to UK

Hi there. I wrote an article in the mag after I'd done this job in 2023. All the info you need is in the article which you will find on here. I fitted a reversing camera as well which these cars really need. The PAC unit is the interface to adapt the new head unit to the car. Amongst other things, it retains the steering wheel controls. You need to completely disable the Onstar unit which is located in the trunk. My car has the optional Bose system and the sound is truly amazing.

I ended up buying the fascia and PAC unit from the US, all fitted and wired in properly! Can't believe what an upgrade it is over the standard stereo, night and day!

Just bought C6 and purchased a new pioneer system, after checking what’s needed it looks like the fascia surround can be found in the uk but looks like the PAC RP5-GM11 cable kit has to come from the States, has anyone found the kit in the UK or have I got to wait for one from the the US.

If I have to buy from the US has anyone got a link to a good supplier?
