Envious perhaps?

I had C2 USA, but could not put it on my 1965, as it would appear to make it look “newer” than it actually is. What a stupid law. I also had VET 650K to read as
VET 65 OK again no can do as it’s a 1972 plate.
So much easier in the US. Tell them what you want, and hey presto “you got it” provided it’s available and not offensive.
I have a few in FL, here’s the 65’s usual plate when it’s there ( last used in 2018 hence the tag, but registration kept up to date in FL)

Occasionally things do get missed with the DVLA. Anybody remember CUB1C that was on a red 65, when the car was sold, the plate was kept and was put on a 1958. Obviously this should not have happened as a 1958 can’t have a 1965 plate on it.
As I said mistakes happen .
Unfortunately not in my couple of attempts to have it done.

I had a UK friend who lived in California, he had the plate BOLOCKS. This was originally allowed as no such “swear” word exists in the US. Lost contact with him so no idea if it’s still about.
