Even though we'll see hot rods on open exhausts, even Zoomie headers and open fenderwells.......can't really see this happening on UK roads.

Wonderful idea! Agree it wouldn't be legal here without quite a few changes including lights at the right height....

Considering that we'll occasionally see a fenderless and open headered Rod or two during the summer months (which is certainly in contravention of regs) it makes one wonder if a period registered open wheelsed ex-race vehicle although illegal could actually stand a chance of getting away with use on the Kings highway. Like the image above the USA's rodders might have uses vestigal perspex/acrylic 'mudguards' much like the minimalist ones seen on some current supersports motorcycles?
