Don't have the PB brake option on mine either - you just learn to keep a greater distance from cars in front of you.......good practice really. It still requires a haemorrhoid inducing amount of pedal pressure though........

I keep a good distance in all cars I drive - mainly because I've had brake failure in cars previously and it is scary.

But my old non power braking setup on my C3 was just scary. I suspect in honesty it was probably the old manual setup in my car just had a problem, and a new manual setup would probably have been fine. I mean the brakes were so rubbish that I had to stand on the pedal for it to actually hold the car on a hill. Swapping to power brakes (which I wanted anyway due to my brake paranoia) probably just coincidentally fixed the problem by having newer equipment fitted (just the new master cylinder and booster as that's what in the kit), and new brake fluid.

Either way, I'm much happier driving the Vette now, as previously it put me off driving it and I didn't drive it until the PB kit was fitted.
