Oh God I met someone who had cut a hole in the dashboard and put a red flip-up button instead of repairing the horn on their 1977 trans am SE. Probably only needed a spring.

Same with some of the rear light conversions done. Some, possibly most look bloody awful. With just a little more time thinking about it and effort doing it, the end result would look reasonably good.
We never just bolted additional light on, always tried to make them look right.
