Thinking about styling, the 1974 corvette was way ahead of its time with body style bumpers front and rear. Way ahead of its time, and at the time looked really good.
They ( the designers) also done a good job on GM F bodies ie Camaro /Firebird models.

It’s the chrome that makes them look different/old/good/classic nowadays.
I can remember when the all new 1974 vet came out, it made the chrome bumper models look old. By 1976 many chrome bumper owners had got rid of them to upgrade to the “plastic” modern look.

Ah yes , But That was then! .. like the 63 owner’s cutting out the split window to make a more modern 64

Got a friend who had what he thought was a 64, after about 10 years of ownership found out it was actually a 1963. Had the split put back in along with original glass and trims. That was during the late 80’s, Laughing all the way to the bank today.
