Insurance Help Needed

Quick one for the C8 owners (posting here as it may be relevant for wider corvette ownership in general) because I need a recent realworld answer rather than another comparison site output lottery...

Admiral has taken my factory RHD 2022 C8 2LT Z51 from £72 a month to £2,700/yr before my recent SP30 was added, then roughly £4,500/yr with the three points included!

No claims or accidents, three years’ NCD, garaged in East Yorkshire and ~3k-4k miles a year. Comparison sites are all landing around the same figure.

Has anyone actually renewed a C8 during 2026 at a remotely sane price?

Mainly looking for the broker and actual underwriter, plus rough premium and annual mileage. Happy for people to DM if they would rather not post numbers.

Admiral has already had an hour of my life, so recent C8 specific answers would be massively appreciated.

Phew. I was having heart attacks for you :ROFLMAO:

But still, that works out at £225/m and £375/m before they add on the extra because you want to pay monthly. Two months of that at the cheaper rate is more than I pay for the year for my C3 and FTO.

Wow! You guys really pay through the nose for auto insurance !

I pay $480 a year ($240 per 6 months) and that includes both my 1993 Cadillac Deville and 1999 C5 Corvette

On the nutty side, I was with one insurance company for many years
Then out of the blue when it came for renewal I get a letter from them saying they would not
renew my Corvette as their computer predicted that since I never had a crash or made a claim
that the computer stated mathematically I was due to crash so would not renew the Corvette

That was 20 years ago and I still after 60 years of driving have never had a crash or filed a claim :-(
I could pay with cash a 2027 GSX Corvette in the money I paid for insurance all those decades :-(

whoa apologies i fixed the copy so it makes sense 🤣

£72/mo to £4500/yr sorry
Just grow old like some of us did. My C8 and 4 classic Corvettes was £2,500 per year but jumped to £3,500 as I got 6 points last year.

Seriously, I'd keep looking until you find something more palatable.

Great to see you at the Nationals.
