Insurance Hike

I'd be looking at getting your agreed valuation upped on the C3. Would you really be able to replace it to the same standard for 25K? A mate paid 45k for a very nice '70 this past summer and it still needed a few things including a new convertible top.
Its slightly higher than that now, I can't remember, I just remember it was £25k for a fair few years, but I did up it recently. However, my C3 is only a base model 327 1968 t-top - not particularly desirable in any regard.

"not particularly desirable in any regard".........not so Capt. First year C3. Fewer numbers around than later cars. 327 loses nothing to replacement 350. Just that some so called 'knowlegeable' types have 'dissed' first year models due to unique combination of year specific parts.

Apologies, what I meant was say for comparison my base model 327 1968 t-top model is much less desirable that say a 1969 big block convertible, or a LT1 etc. Mine is also not standard any more, so wouldn't be desirable for the whole "complete numbers matching" brigade. I appreciate that, so I don't feel bothered when I modify the car here and there.
