Love it when a LHD E-type is imported, rich pickings for all of us in need of engines and gearboxes but it’s not just mechanicals that are deemed worthless to the Jaguar enthusiast. Take a look at what was hiding inside this E-Type LHD dash.0D7FAEC0-25F0-471F-B753-CB547C374CB9.jpegBA7D55E6-50E1-47FC-AB99-BC936E40EE2F.jpegD5F1C36F-FEB0-4C54-9B1A-25163DC43B53.jpegA63E9EB2-EEE0-4DE1-99EB-ADEE24D3C318.jpegD8B1847B-8BDD-4CD1-AAFB-27B675B2648D.jpeg

Good read👍 But Ford powered and a bit too historical as a donor. I nabbed the seat out of it as well but it looks so wrong in a C3.

Not an E Type........but 420G with 496 cu in twin blower BBC power - Chelmsford's Keith Smith built this years ago and has been everywhere in the UK and Europe (and towing a caravan iin the past).......formidable!

Back in the 70's I can remember a few articles in American car mags featuring 'S' type Jags with Chevy small blocks fitted. Probably made the car far less expensive to maintain and far quicker?

Yes and we have a few Bentley and RR returning with Chevy V8's installed. Rich pickings.

Talking about Chrysler's and specifically Hemi's - which to me is this

The 'modern' Hemi is just a marketing exercise.........taking nothing abway from the huffed Hellcat and Redeye surely this doesn't make what is historically known as a Hemi?

Just can't see that 'semi-hemi' ever developing in to the monster race engine that the original Hemi became.........having said all that Chevy's LS ' small block really bears no resemblance to the original much loved engine.
